諺語
諺：(形声。从言, 彦声。本义:谚语) 同本义 [aphorism; proverb; saying; adage]
谚, 传言也。字亦作喭。——《说文》
There is 諺語，成語 and there is 箴言，these are all “sayings” but there are those which are 成語 which are “established“ 成 and there are those 成語 that are 箴 with a pair of watchful eyes above (or those written on 竹)。
What kind of sayings is 諺 and what separate 箴 from 成？
諺 is from 言 (从言）彦声 (with the “voice” of 彦)
Original 彦 with 言，彡 (seen in 形 修 影) modified the character and gave it the “idea” of “sayings” or 言。It is probably more generic in nature not in the same “class” as 箴言 which is like that of “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” kind which are aplenty in the ancient Book with the same title.
箴zhen has the look of 笑，the “arm” of 我，the “sound” of 朕zhen and the Queen who is 后。
